Concerto for Orchestra in Phi
As well as Pi is the name of the Greek letter π, Phi is the name of the Greek letter φ.
While Pi (π) is the name given to the the ratio between a circle’s circumference and its diameter, Phi (φ) is the name given to the so-called (from very old) number of gold or divine proportion or golden ratio.

Concerto for Orchestra in Phi is designed based on the golden ratio applied to the various musical elements. This gives very undulant lines and, at some points, a little extreme for some instruments. The resultant is interesting, but it might seem still a little strange to the habits of our ears today; for this reason, on the results obtained using Phi, I have applied my musical creativity. I hope to have got something you like and enjoy.
If any Orchestra feels the desire to present this concert, let me know; I will be very happy to assist for its world premiere.
